A Hollywood smile is one of the treatments patients from Saudi Arabia and the Gulf most often travel to our Amman clinic for. The first question is always: how many days do I need, and how should I plan my trip? This guide walks you through a Hollywood smile for travellers, from the consultation before you fly to follow-up once you're home. Written under the supervision of Dr. Banan Alhawamdeh.
What does a Hollywood smile include?
A Hollywood smile isn't a single treatment but a cosmetic plan designed around your face and teeth. It may include:
- Veneers or dental lenses (E-max or Lumineers) for the front teeth.
- Zirconia crowns for teeth that need full coverage.
- Teeth whitening to match the colour of the remaining teeth.
- Gum contouring when needed, if the gums show too much or unevenly.
The number of teeth varies from person to person and usually covers the teeth that show when you smile. Your options are explained in our Hollywood smile guide.
Before you travel: a free WhatsApp consultation
Send us on WhatsApp:
- A photo of your smile from the front.
- A side photo.
- A photo of your teeth closed together.
- A short description of what bothers you about your smile and what you'd like to change.
Dr. Banan reviews the photos and gives you an initial plan, the expected duration and an approximate cost. The panoramic X-ray is taken at the clinic when you arrive.
Your week in Amman
A Hollywood smile usually needs about a one-week stay, covering these stages:
- Examination and smile design: checking the teeth, gums and X-rays, then agreeing on the shape and shade with you.
- Preparing the teeth and taking impressions.
- Fabrication: the restorations are made to the agreed design.
- Try-in and final fitting: we check the shape, shade and bite, then bond them permanently.
Dr. Banan confirms the final duration after the examination, depending on the number and condition of the teeth.
Do you need treatment before a Hollywood smile?
Sometimes a problem needs treating before cosmetic work, so the result lasts:
- Gum inflammation: treated first, because healthy gums are the foundation of any restoration. Dr. Banan is a periodontics specialist.
- Decay or nerve inflammation: treated before fitting.
That's why we ask about your case during the consultation before you travel, so we can plan the duration accurately and avoid surprises.
Tips for planning your trip
- Book early, especially during the summer holidays, Eid, Ramadan and the mid-year break.
- Stay close to Sweifieh to make getting to your sessions easy. Parking is available at the clinic.
- Leave a spare day after the final fitting before you fly home, if you can.
After you return home
- We follow up with you on WhatsApp or however suits you.
- If you grind your teeth, we recommend a night guard to protect the restorations.
- Brush and floss, and avoid biting hard objects.
All travel details are in our guide for visitors from Saudi Arabia and the Gulf.
